The word energy ...

    The word energy generally refers to that which is formless—spiritual substance that flows freely.
The word force refers to energy encased in matter and limited by form.
The human being is transformed through the interplay of the two.
On this path, material forces such as aggression, greed and selfish pursuit are transmuted into spiritual energies such as wisdom, love, and the desire to serve others. Meditation and visualization can be used by individuals and groups to invoke light, love and spiritual power into human consciousness. What unfolds are subtle processes that are reflected in the subtleties of language conveyed in the wisdom teachings, where a distinction is made between energies and forces.

  The vertical and horizontal activity holds the secret of creative meditation.
It is invocative of the higher energies, and creates a channel of contact between soul and spirit.
This is brought about by what I have called "vertical meditation."
It is also evocative and creates a ferment or dynamic movement in that level of being which must be affected or changed, and this is the horizontal aspect. Transmutation is the first phase of the transformative journey. It marks the start of a process by which material forces are elevated—in the goal of transmuting them into spiritual energies—through the power of the mind.
The aspirant learns to charge or 'step up' material force into soul energy by concentrating the mind to the degree that it can effect the subtle forces of the threefold personality: the mind itself, the astral or emotional body, and the vital energy body that underlies the physical form.
Through the power of focused thought, one learns to raise the emotional forces of the desire nature (anchored in the solar plexus center or chakra) to the heart center ; and procreative forces of sacral centre to the throat chakra. This is the begining of creation of antahkarana - the state of the soul awareness and contact with the Presence of the spirit at ajna centre.

The advanced initiate having purified the lower vehicles has won the right to quote Master M. "to burn rather than to sleep." The door of initiation or the passage between the states of consciousness - is electric.
When our personality ray vibrates in unison with the ray of our solar angel the two fuse and we slip through the portal of initiation with the least resistance. When the soul infused personality vibrates in electrical union with the one monad life the destruction of the soul body takes place and the stronger monadic force with its unique coloring and sound dominates.
Man is involved in the transmutation of all beings into this God, Who finally attains to what He was from the beginning. Everything reverts to the Godhead which has passed through the universal process and has finally become perfected. " But man, in order to reach this goal, must find the way to the Logos that was made flesh - Christ.
What is contained in the writings giving an account of the Logos leads, when received in faith, to salvation. Faith must bring that - to which knowledge never can attain by itself - the divine grace of the Holy Spirit , that fertilise our mind with Christ consciousness. That which can be fertilized is the soul-feminine, the mother-soul, the eternal-feminine, , cosmic etheric buddhic forces of love. That by which man becomes conscious of himself, the mystic calls the Son. - Christ, atmic energy of divine Will.
Man must first find himself, but then again must also surrender himself to what makes thought a reality: Before a man can tread the Path he must become that Path himself".
The Sixth Sub-Race is destined to replace blood relationship with Manas relationship, relationship in the spirit. Thinking which is altruistic will develop the predisposition to the overcoming of egoism. The safety valve in spiritual work and training, the life-line and guarantee of continuous expansion, - lies in a form of occult meditation which reflects the meditation of the soul on its own plane. And the soul on its own plane is concerned with group service of the Plan, since there is one soul and one Plan for humanity, and with the intention to bring the human soul and the separated personality into a synchronised condition of unity and fusion. In other words, occult meditation is concerned with the use of the human mind by the soul to initiate action in line with the Plan for humanity: All curiosity must fall away from the student.
He must wean himself as much as possible from inquiries into matters of which he only wishes to know for the gratification of his personal thirst for knowledge.
He must only ask himself what things will assist him in the perfection of his innermost being for the service of the general evolution. Nevertheless, his delight in knowledge, and his devotion to it must in no degree become relaxed.
He must listen devoutly to all that contributes to such an end, and should seek every opportunity of doing so. One of the discoveries to be made by each person who aspires to serve humanity through meditation - is that waves of energy or ‘gift waves’ are continuously breaking upon the collective aura of the serving group of which he or she is a part.

In meditation, consciousness is imaginatively lifted into a state of group awareness, and with time, the imagination evokes and is replaced by a definite impression; that is to say, the mind is touched by the energy of an aspect of the Plan that is seeking expression via the group life. Through regular group service meditations, the mind becomes increasingly adaptable to these impressions, developing related patterns of thought around them. These ‘gift waves’ are forever changing in dynamic, tone and hue, but always they bring spiritual refreshment. If a conscious effort is made to maintain the link with these energies after the meditation is completed, the aspirant will be joining the ranks of those whose lives are dedicated to the service of humanity through the radiation of spiritual energy.
The planetary bridge of energy that is forming between the Spiritual Hierarchy and the human kingdom is thereby strengthened through which aspects of the Divine Plan can be brought to fruition.
